Debt Update

Update since March!

Citi CC: $8,548.38
Discover CC: $1,547.67
Goodyear CC: paid off... will pay a few bucks in interest next month & then this baby is getting closed!
Student Loan: $6,671.50
Car: $15,415.22
House:$152,648.97

Debt is down from$187,669.23 in March to $184,831.74. It's nice to see the numbers going down instead of going up; even though they go down much slower than I'd like, it's still a good sign.

Debt Update

It has been 2 months since I reported about how much debt we are in. Here are our new totals:

Bill Me Later: PAID OFF
Citi CC: $8,922.88
Discover CC: $1,611.99
Goodyear CC: $367.82
Capital One CC: PAID OFF AND CLOSED!

Car: $16,429.79

House: $153,521.67

Debt is down from $190,787.19 in January to $187,669.23 now. Main focus is getting those credit cards paid off...

Another one bites the dust...

Paid off our Capital One card! DH will call to close the account tomorrow. We are down to only 3 credit cards with debt now (have a few that are open with no balance). It feels so freeing!

Our Debt

It's kind of embarrassing and scary to put this out there, but, I'm going to tell you how far in debt we are. I really want to get out of debt as soon as possible, and then never, if humanly possible, get into debt again. We have a total of 5 credit cards, 1 student loan, 1 car, and 1 mortgage. I have no problem with having the mortgage-- we come from lower/working middle class backgrounds and that's just how it is. My car is paid off and I will drive it till it dies. Same with hubs' car, which we are still paying for. Once we get our credit cards paid off, I never plan on getting another one. I want to start building our savings accounts. But we are both so young, full-time jobs, no children, I see a great financial future ahead of us as long as we continue being frugal!

Anyway... Here is the damage :-/

Bill Me Later: $500.00
Citi CC: $9,197.89
Discover CC: $1,650.18
Goodyear CC: $861.05
Capital One CC: $702.77
Student Loan: $6,900.85
Car: $17,021.30
House: $153,953.15
